Though I can?t remember a thing about the crash my terrified passenger recalls everything. My mate had been off the road 6 weeks as he had broke his leg, so I thought I?d treat him to a ride in my modified AX GT!
I took him down to a favourite spot of mine in the countryside, which is a single track road with fast corners, hairpin and a sizeable hump back bridge! After playing for a couple of minutes we hit the bridge at approximately mph, landing awkwardly, turning the car into the bank which sent us into acrobatic cartwheel, which we landed on the roof!
The car ended up in a field about 300 Meters away from the bridge. Once the car had stopped my mate crawled out through the tailgate to find his crouches and then pulled me out. When I returned to the land of the living we stumbled up to a farmhouse, where an ambulance was called.
My mate went home with a few cuts and bruises and luckily didn?t damage his leg anymore, however I wasn?t quite so lucky breaking my neck in four places, and losing quite a bit of hair!
However a month on, things are looking pretty good and the consultant says that he can remove the neck brace in a couple of weeks!
