Stock AX Handling

Post by Atic »

Hi! Sory im posting in Inglish!
I would like to know what do you think about the stock suspension set on the AX. I think its better if we discuss the fastest model (GT and GTi) as it would be the best original suspension set.

Does it handles well?
Too soft? Too hard?

Too soft!, but hey it's a citroen , handling at stock is not too bad though, but be prepared for some understeer.

the handling is not that bad.. the car does lean a lot, but you can take that away by mounting a upper and lower struttbar.

lowering springs also help a bit, most people fit 35mm or 40mm lowered springs, but you can get them up to 60mm and the original 'cup' suspension is lowered up to 120mm I believe, but then you won't be able to take speedbumps :D

for shockabsorbers we prefer Koni's they are adjustable (when yellow) so you can set the stiffness yourself! :)

Right! The reason im asking is because im workin on a AX with Stock shocks, lower springs BUT with rollcage, so it handles much better.
