Welcome here.

Are you sure this one is from 1990?
It's looking like it is from 2008 or something.

Seriously; a very beautiful AX!
Nice you found the site.

Add some more rust and some minor dents and scratches throughout the bodywork, and you've basically got your avarage Dutch Citroën AX. What photoshop filters did you use?...:P

No seriously, that is one prestine looking car you've got there. ;)

Don't they have any AX car clubs in Ireland? As far as the foglight goes, wouldn't it be easier to get one from a local junkyard or to try and find it on ebay or craigslist or something? Alternatively you could keep an eye on the car clubs marketplace (clickety-clack), but I kinda doubt if a local Dutch or Belgium seller is willing to send it all the way to Ireland.

Oh well, never tried never gained, I suppose... Foglight is 'mistlamp' in Dutch, so you know what item to look/search for...;)

And ehr...welcome!
Jij bent precies een Franse auto. Mooi en onverslijtbaar volgens de reclamespot.
Maar als de motor nog wil lopen, dan is het plaatwerk al verrot.

Hi and welcome!

That is one great-looking AX GT, and at 30K miles it has an entire lifetime ahead of it still. As for the fog lights, I'm afraid you're gonna have as hard a time here as anywhere... though if I stumble across any, I'll be sure to drop you a message. :)

Hello there!
Beautiful AX you've got! Looks stunning, like new.

About the foglights....

I know who has them... but they (as with all their stuff) will charge you a hefty sum of money.
German CX specialistCX-Basis.de sells those, new and original.
Fog Lamp CX S2 Yellow, €76.11 very very expensive!

It does mean that they are out there somewhere!

Maybe a meeting in England would be good?

My next hard to find part I require is the clear plastic protectors for the fog lights, peugeot and Citroën made them either would do. Can any advise me ? They are rare and I don't even know the part no.

Welcome! The ax is looking brand new! Keep up the good work!
It's a pity that you can't buy the OEM parts in the UK, which surprises me because I always thought the UK is the place to be when it comes to spare parts. (for example for the Peugeot 106, you can buy much more in the UK than in the Netherlands.)

Ax parts are hard to find now and old stock is thrown out after 10 years since a model has ended production. Plenty of 106 parts though, if you need anything I can mail it, just get me the part number.

The funny thing is that there is plenty after-market stuff still availible in the UK, I guess because people in the uk usually really like modifying their cars, but not so much original stuff..
