AX 4X4

Post by RallyAX »

Hi

Just wondering if any of you dutch AX's have any information on the AX 4X4 that was on sale in the europe.

Any technical details on how citroen achieved the 4x4 drive system to the rear wheels - etc!

Its just that none of the AX 4X4 reached the shores of the UK.

Any url links etc world be usefull.

Cheers - from the Uk AX drivers!

Was...

If you're lucky you might find one in Germany or Austria. I heard that the system used by Citroen is very primitive. I don't no but what are you're plans? Build a rally AX with four wheel drive? (with an 1.4 GTI or 1.6 16V engine? :P )

For more information you could try the german AX-club.

Good luck and keep us posted!

the ax piste rouge is very rear, you also might find one in Switzerland or Scandinavia. be aware that a four wheel drive car means a lot of power loss on the wheels.

Just a small comment on the 4x4.
You can almost certainly find one in the small state of Andorra. I used to live overthere and have seen one or two on secondhand sale.
However: (and this goes for Switzerland as well) this country is not part of de European Union so take customs into account! Export rules are kind of tricky and you need someone who has legal residency to buy a registered vehicle.

Greetings to ya-all.
